Audubon Center Wildlife Garden
The Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners have partnered with the Randall Davey Audubon Center since 2003 to develop and maintain demonstration gardens at the Center. The gardens include a Wildlife Attracting Garden, Native Perennial and Shrub beds, a small Cactus bed and a Pollinator Garden. Native Bee Houses grace the Wildlife and Pollinator Gardens. Native Bee Houses grace the Wildlife and Pollinator Gardens. Plants in each garden are identified with plant ID stakes. There are also container gardens and a native grasses and wildflower meadow. Visitors enjoying the gardens include birders, artists, photographers, nature lovers, and gardeners. Master Gardeners are in the gardens most Fridays from 10-noon from April through September and are available to answer questions. The public is invited to visit and enjoy these gardens during hours the Center is open to the public.
Project Goals
