Alexa Bradford is a recent transplant to New Mexico from Texas and a new Master Gardener.
She brings a fresh eye and great enthusiasm to her producing and interviewing roles in the
Garden Journal. In addition, Alexa produces and hosts a podcast Jubilation: From Work Life to
Tom Dominguez is the Director of the Santa Fe County Extension Service. He has been with the
Santa Fe Extension Service since 2014. Tom is responsible for the organization, development, and
teaching of agricultural and community development programs for the citizens of Santa Fe
County. Previously he held the same position in Quay and then Otero counties.
Tom holds a Master of Agriculture Education and, Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, and
Associate of Applied Science Technology from Sul Ross State University where he is an Associate
Professor.
Lissa Johnson expresses her interests in gardening and food – growing and cooking –
through volunteering with the Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners and as a board member of
the local Slow Food Santa Fe chapter, co-organizing events along with Nina. She is a regular
shopper at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market and takes every opportunity to encourage others to do
the same!
Nina Rosenberg first fell in love with northern New Mexico when she visited in the early
1980s and feels incredibly fortunate to currently call Santa Fe home. She is an active
board member of Slow Food Santa Fe where she partners with Lissa to organize local
chapter activities that promote celebrating and learning about food traditions and issues.
A perfect Saturday includes an early morning visit to Santa Fe’s Farmers’ Market and
many hours of cooking and baking. Someday she will do more than talk about starting a
vegetable and herb garden.
Jannine Cabossel Known as The Tomato Lady, Jannine is an expert vegetable
gardener who loves to share her hard-won expertise with others. She blogs
Kaitlin Haase is the Xerces Society Southwest Pollinator Conservation Specialist and has been based in Santa Fe since 2020. She works to create climate-resilient, connected pollinator habitats in Santa Fe and the Southwest. She collaborates with and educates public and private land managers in the desert Southwest on pollinator-friendly practices for landscaping, gardening, and open space restoration.
