Project Description
The Santa Fe Native Plant Project (SNaPP) is a certification and public education program of the Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners. SNaPP volunteers maintain three separate and unique demonstration gardens at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds to provide inspiration for your low-water, low-maintenance garden. There is also a rainwater harvesting demonstration area that provides ideas about making the most of the precious rainwater that falls on your property. The certification component is open to current Master Gardeners only.
Project Goals
SNaPP’s mission is to promote the use of native plants in the local landscape.
Hours and Location
The three SNaPP demonstration gardens surround the Santa Fe County Extension Office at the County Fairgrounds, 3229 Rodeo Road, and are open to the public. SNaPP volunteers are in the gardens during many public events at the Fairgrounds. There are handouts at the garden entrances that provide details about each garden and the rainwater harvesting demonstration area.
