Project Description

Located on the Santa Fe County Fairground campus, this 1500 sq.ft. vegetable demonstration garden began in 2016 and contains various types of raised vegetable beds built and are maintained by Master Gardeners. Classes will be given for the public and SFEMG members on vegetable growing techniques, how to build garden structures, seed saving and early/late season gardening. SFEMG members will be involved in maintenance of the gardens as well as instruction.

Project Goals

To teach various methods for successfully growing vegetables in the high altitude and dry environment of Northern New Mexico.  The garden will also allow us to test different varieties of vegetables in our short growing season.
