DETAILS: Northern New Mexico’s growing environment is challenging. Drought and changing climate make gardening difficult, causing more reliance on buying products imported from out-of-state. Discover the methods used at SFCC to grow food without soil during a one-day introductory workshop. Hydroponics and aquaponics systems work to create fully recycling systems, producing food year around in controlled environments. Tour SFCC's growing systems and learn how to create your own soil-less growing environment. It is recommended that you complete this workshop before participating in the more advanced Build a Soil-less Growing System workshop.
