DETAILS: The Xerces Society is hosting a New Mexico-focused webinar on monarch butterflies and via Zoom. Stephanie McKnight, Endangered Species Conservation Biologist with the Xerces Society, will discuss monarch biology, population trends, conservation issues, and how you can get involved by creating monarch habitat and participating in community science projects. This webinar will focus on what we know about monarchs and milkweed in New Mexico and more broadly in the West.
SPEAKER: Stephanie McKnight
Stephanie works on the western population of monarch butterflies including development of best management practices for monarchs and pollinators on public lands. Stephanie completed a bachelor's of science in botany at Oregon State University. Previously, Stephanie worked as a botanist with the U.S. Forest Service in California and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Oregon
